Rick D. Maloy is a lifelong resident of Newcomerstown, Ohio. His passion for writing began in high school. Since then, he has had short stories published in three local newspapers and several anthologies. He has won short horror contests in two newspapers and various online platforms.
His longest-running series of short Halloween stories appeared in the Newcomerstown News for over twenty-five years. In addition to short stories, Rick also writes poetry. He has sold many of his framed poems and has started printing them on glass. Stranger in the Dark is his first book, and he is currently working on his second, which is yet to be titled. He also served as the president of the Tucarawas County Writers' Guild for five years.
