"A proud native of New Philadelphia, Wendy Sand Eckel graduated NPHS in 1976 before earning a Bachelor’s in sociology/criminology at Miami University, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from Syracuse University. Her career as a psychotherapist brought Wendy to Maryland, where she still lives, having recently moved to a small town on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay

Wendy practiced social work for many years before turning her focus to writing fiction. She put her criminology degree to good use in her award-winning Rosalie Hart Mystery Series published by Level Best Books, which includes Murder at Barclay Meadow, Death at the Day Lily Café -- selected as best “cozy mystery” of the year by Suspense Magazine, Mystery at Windswept Farm, and Killer in a Winter Wonderland. Windswept Farm and Killer in a Winter Wonderland have both made several Amazon best-seller list. The fifth in her mystery series, Murder at Cardigan Point, is in production."

Murder at Barclay Meadow

Murder at Barclay Meadow

Rosalie Hart's world has been upended. After her husband confesses to an affair, she exiles herself to her late aunt's farmhouse on Maryland's Eastern Shore. With its fields untended and the house itself in disrepair, Barclay Meadow couldn't be any more different than the tidy D.C. suburb she used to call home. Just when Rosalie is convinced things couldn't get any worse, she finds a body floating in her marsh grasses.

Death at the Day Lily Café

Rosalie Hart has finally opened the café of her dreams. Decked out with ochre-tinted walls and stocked with delicious farm-to-table organic fare, the Day Lily Cafê is everything she could have hoped for. But not five minutes into the grand opening, Doris Bird, a dear and trusted friend, cashes in on a favor--to help clear her little sister, Lori, of a first-degree murder charge.

Mystery at Windswept Farm

In Wendy Sand Eckel's much-anticipated third book in the Rosalie Hart Mystery Series, Rosalie's hard-earned organic farm certification is threatened by a toxic neighbor who is about to crop dues his winter wheat. When their impulsive farm hand decides to confront him, she finds his lifeless body inside the door of his home on Windswept Farm. In the midst of the mayhem, Rosalie's beloved Day Lily Café hosts a 5-day cooking school. Marco Giovanelli, a celebrated Italian chef, arrives in Cardigan and a sumptuous situation ensues. When one of the student falls ill from the same poison that killed the farmer, Rosalie and her best friend and head waiter, Glenn, take matters, and homemade pasta dough, in to their own hands. With Mystery at Windswept Farm, Eckel once again brings the fictional town of Cardigan to life and delights with suspense, humor, and mouth-watering menus.
