I have always loved stories. I drew pictures for stories before I wrote words. I remember most doodling on the margins of the Betty Crocker Cookbook while my mother baked in her blue kitchen. As soon as I could write, I wrote little stories. My first was called Three Dogs for Mollie with my illustrations. I wish I still had it.
I chose nursing as a career when I was fourteen, but writing was always my first love.

Country
a Gables and Gingerbread Story.
Early twentieth century, opportunities weren't nearly as opened to women, especially young girls finishing eighth grade in country spaces. Eva Titus found herself in this situation, as well as being in love. Her parents thought her young man was not right for her. Being headstrong, she eloped with her man, in the middle of the night. She left her younger sister, Christina, pondering how anyone could leave their loving family and the farm.
Much changed in five years. A high school is built in the small community, so Christina takes that option. The Titus family weathered the storm of gossip of Eva and Dave leaving town. A war started across the sea. Dave, filled with angst and worry about finances, offers his services to the Army. Eva receives a telegram that Dave died in France. She and her almost five-year-old girl return to the farm. She offers herself as a hired girl until she can get back on her feet. Instead, her father welcomes her with open arms. She can't shake the idea she has to work to return to good graces. She doesn't want to remain on the farm with the faith of her family, though.
Hugh Morgan visits the community when his father marries an old maid, settling in her home. The young ladies are impressed with Hugh's good looks. His eye, though, lands on the hard-working Eva and is willing to take on a dead man's daughter. Eva loves the city and wants to return, so she agrees to marry Hugh. Did she make a mistake?
Main Street
a Gables and Gingerbread Story.
Martha and Tom Sloan build a family and life on Main Street in a beautiful home in the early 1900's. Tom searches to better their way of life with expansion of his livery commerce into the new auto business. Life for Martha centers around her children, school, and neighborhood. One night they venture out to a new form of entertainment. They view a moving picture that fuels Tom's sense of superiority and ignites a flame of hatred. Martha finds herself increasingly isolated as Tom's actions bring that hatred to their front door. A tragic accident on a stormy night emboldens Martha to fight against the hatred. Martha and Tom's reactions to the aftermath of the accident provide a glimpse at worldly and godly sorrow.
Outside of Time
A young wife, mother and writer fights demons and visions as she publishes her first novel. Amy Delahaunty meets Barry Wilson in their first year at college and fights his mother's vision for her son's marriage. Barry knows Amy is the woman for him.
During her first book launch, an elderly Italian woman sits down to talk to her. No one else sees this woman, but her handwriting is tangible in the book. Will Amy trust the message as she is attacked for exposing the little Ohio Western Reserve town's secrets?
