Asparagus
Asparagus is a fun, rhymed, picture book written to amuse non-readers, early readers and the adults reading to them. The main character is a young boy who discovers the “long, lean, mean, green” intruder on his dinner plate and decides he does not like it. To avoid eating it, he tries everything he can think of, including giving it to the dog, cat and guinea pig. When he goes too far, Mom and Dad bring him gently back to reality where he discovers asparagus is good!
