Author Bio
I grew up and live in Ragersville Ohio. I have always had an overactive imagination, so much so that my mom would use it against me when I was young. If I were being hyper and loud, she used to tell me that she would tie my lips together in a knot if I didn't quiet down. Yep, that's right she would use Looney Toon threats on me and my overactive, imaginative brain believed she could do it!
As I grew older, I developed a love for the arts. Anything art I loved! Drawing, painting, sculpting, then eventually digital art. But the one art I never did well with was with the written word, being dyslexic made reading and writing more of a chore than an enjoyment. Then my girlfriend, now wonderful wife and best friend, challenged me to read the first book in Christopher's Paolini's Inheritance Cycle: Eragon. Well, I always loved dragons, so challenge accepted!
The result was I began to love reading. Then I began to play with my own characters, my own storylines and I started to play around with writing. I wanted to put the before mentioned overactive imagination to the test and use my skills as an artist. Now I'm trying to build a career around the one thing that used to haunt me when I was in school. Again, I say, challenge accepted!
Now that I have two books under my belt and a third on the way, the before mentioned dream seems like more of a possibility, if I could just keep those little voices in my head that tell me that, "It's no good." and "You're wasting your time." When those voices get a little too loud, I sit down and read a few chapters of one of my books, just to remind myself that I do good work and those voices need to shut their faces. I believe that all authors know the voices I'm speaking of, and I just want to tell them to be proud of the work you do, it's good work and keep writing!

Book 1:
Alearia: Forbidden Existence (Book One)

Summary
Alearia: Forbidden Existence is book one in the Alearia series. It takes place in a world apart from our own, a magical world populated by mythical creatures and humanoid animals. The feeling of the world is medieval, with a twist; most everything is operated through enchantments. Some examples are, wash tubs are enchanted to keep the water clean and at the right temperature, rooms have sound canceling enchantments on them. Some weapons, such as fighting staffs are able to shrink down for easy carry and concealment, and bags are enchanted to never get heavy or run out of space. As long as you can fit whatever it is you want to put inside and can get past the opening without destroying the bag it fits. Just to name a few ways magic is present in the land.
This is the beginning of the life story of a new hero for the Continent of Alearia. Aden a dragon and unicorn hybrid. Not only is Aden the first of his kind, but he also is the first hybrid in existence. The gods of this world put safeguards in place to assure that cross species procreation could never happen. So how was Aden born in the first place? Who knows? You will have to read to find out.
Aden's unique parentage gives him special natural abilities never before seen without the aid of a spell caster, but even a spell caster or alchemist couldn't heal others as completely as Aden can. By lighting up his blue scales Aden produces a healing aura that can heal any physical injury, no matter how old and break any nasty curse. Unicorns are really good at hiding and Aden is no different, He can make himself invisible. All of these special abilities and Aden can still fly, breathe fire and look awesome doing it! Unfortunately, Alearia is not a happy and peaceful land, it is ruled by two elven siblings. King Marcus rules over the western half of the continent. Marcus is horrible, evil man who enslaves people to work in his fields, mines and serve as his soldiers. He has little regard for life, and anyone is free game, men, woman and even sometimes children join the ranks of his enslaved. Marcus's ambition is to rule over all of Alearia and Overthrow his sister, Queen Ellowen the ruler of the eastern half of Alearia. She is the only thing keeping half of the continent's people safe and she's slowly losing her hold as her brother grows bolder. But that's enough from me let's hear the novel synopsis from Aden himself.
Hi, I’m Aden, the dragon gracing the front of this book with his handsome face. Apparently, I am the offspring between a dragon and a unicorn, which is supposed to be forbidden by the gods and shouldn’t even be possible. My unique parentage gives me special abilities never before seen in dragons, but I’ll let you read about those on your own. I was perfectly happy living in my forest home surrounded by the animals that cared for me until I was abducted and taken from my home. Ever since that day my life has been one confusing mess. Turns out I might be the dragon of legend; one with the power to topple kings and stand against the gods. Can I really be that dragon? Marcus, an evil elven king hells bent on ruling all of Alearia and a secret group calling themselves The Wardens of Hope; a group of people trying to find me and train me to save the land from king Marcus’s unjust rule, seem to believe so. But I’m just Aden, a smaller than average dragon and it’s a really big world. How can I change anything? Join me on my journey of self-discovery as I try to make my way to the Wardens of Hope and keep free of King Marcus. Our travels will be filled with magic, adventure, action, love, heartache, sarcasm and EXPLOSIONS!! Okay, maybe no explosions but there will be a healthy dose of dragon’s fire now and then.
Alearia is written with young adult and mature readers in mind due to mature content.

Alearia: Wardens Rise (Book Two)

Summary
In this second installment of the Alearia series more of the world's history and lore is learned by the reader. You will meet a couple of the gods of this world and learn the truth of how Aden really came into being. We will see Aden grow both in personality, courage and power. This journey starts out a little rough for him, and he seems emotionally damaged beyond hope at the beginning but as the quote from the back of the book says, "Every hero has their reason to fight; you just need to find yours." Don’t worry, Aden will get there when he finds his reason to lose his fear and rise up. Aden spends part of this story learning who he is and what he can do from someone who can actually teach him how to use his unicorn magic correctly. Let's just say, the extra horn on his head isn't just for show. We also meet some new and interesting characters and see some existing characters grow in ways that as the creator of this world, I'm truly proud of. I feel this book sets the pace for this series and another series I introduce in this book to grow and become something more than I ever imagined while writing Forbidden Existence. Well, it's not a proper Alearia book summery until we hear from Aden.
Hi, Aden here again. The unicorn goddess took me to her realm to save me from the other gods after my display of power when I transformed. As I recover from my lengthy imprisonment and the toll the fight with King Marcus had on me, my friends are working hard to reform the Wardens of Hope. As they manage to recruit some new members, all with the same goal, find me and help me to make this world a better place. They are determined to make the new Wardens of Hope what the previous group was supposed to be; a group ready to fight and support me when the time is right.
A dragon is impersonating me; someone who looks like me and has all my abilities. This new threat is doing all in his power to ruin my name. Who is this dragon and what does he have against me? Marcus has put a price on my head and is calling for my public execution. After so long of trying to control me, now he wants me dead?
Upon my return I’m going to have to unravel the mystery of this new enemy, find and reunite my parents; all while dealing with my emotional baggage before I’m faced with Marcus again. This new adventure will be faster paced, more magical and sexier than the last. Can I get over my fear and rise up before it’s too late to save our world from whatever Marcus is cooking up?
Alearia is a world separate from our own where humanoid animals and mythical creatures live together. Magical enchantments replace the advances technology gives our world. Alearia is home to Aden, a dragon/unicorn hybrid and the first of his kind. His unique parentage gifts Aden with special abilities never before seen; especially in dragons. He can light up his blue scales, what Aden calls his glow. With this Aden can heal the physical injury of any living being and break curses, either on an individual or an entire village at once. Unicorns are good at hiding and Aden is no different. He is able to make himself invisible, enabling him to sneak up on enemies, pull pranks and delivers some snappy one-liners. Alearia is written with young adult and mature readers in mind due to mature content.
