Interest in Participating in Panels or Story Time
I would love to be on a panel! Here are some of the topics I cover in my school visits (and would probably be of interest here, as well):
Where do authors get ideas?
Using "wow" words
Show; don't tell
Change it up: using dialogue tags vs. action beats
Is it ever okay to use incomplete sentences?
Revising and editing

Book 1:
Little Roo
Price:
Summary
Little Roo is a good little rooster... except for one thing: he is NOT an early bird. Try as he might, he just cannot get up at the crack of dawn to do his job. Setting an alarm, going to bed earlier, getting bright sun first thing in the morning...none of these helps him become a "good" rooster. Finally, Little Roo realizes he has something to offer just the way he is.
Chickens, farm animals, self-esteem, sleep issues, humor, trying harder, differing abilities, encouragement.

Dance the Seasons

Summary
Dance the Seasons is the story of flora and fauna present year-round, each stepping forward in its own moment of glory before receding again into the background. The ballet movements portrayed by dancers in each forest scene are named, with their definitions and pronunciations listed in the back matter.
Seasons, nature, flowers, trees, fairies, ballet, dancing, bed-time story.
Picture Book, ages 2-8

Book 3:
Queen Bea
Price:
Summary
Faced with her waning popularity and the arrival of a new girl, a bossy third-grader named Beatrice learns during a school trip to a bee farm that honeybees have something to teach her about getting along with others.
Written by a former beekeeper, Queen Bea contains factual information presented in the story during the class's field trip to the apiary. Back matter includes interesting bee facts and a glossary of terms. The comparison of honeybees' social network and our own prompts Beatrice to examine how she treats other kids.
In 10 chapters and about 15,000 words, Queen Bea explores themes of friendship, kindness, and getting along with others. Current interest and concern for honeybees, and the science/nature aspects of this book, will appeal to both parents and teachers. In this time of declining bee populations, kids can become important allies in helping to protect the pollinators.
As the first book in a series entitled "Baxter School Kids," Queen Bea focuses on the daily adventures of elementary school kids.
Appropriate for ages 6-10.
