Author Bio
E.A. Burnett writes evocative epic fantasy for upper young adults and new adults. Each story unfolds in the tension between power and survival—where women rise, animals answer, and love threads through the dark. SILVERGLEN and ISLE OF WINGS are two standalone novels set in the same universe—one full of magic-wielding wizards and shapeshifters who can take the form of any animal. OF GRYPHONS AND RUNES is the start of a new epic fantasy trilogy in a world created by Enchanters—one where humans are bound to other life forms.
Her shorter works received an honorable mention (2013), a silver honorable mention (2022), and a finalist award (2016) from the international L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contest. Today, Burnett lives in the beautiful forests of Ohio with her family, corn snakes, and a shifting myriad of delightful forest creatures. Summary
Royal gryphons almost killed her brother. Now the queen demands that she train to fight with them.
When a royal gryphon nearly kills her brother, two things become clear to nineteen-year-old Farren Blackburn: she is not the best person to care for her brother, and she despises the vicious beast who changed him forever. But an unwanted letter commands her father to fulfill a decade-long Servitude to the crown. In a desperate attempt to protect her family, Farren takes her father’s place and is brought to Alidonia—a place full of infuriating Enchantments, a selfish queen, and two princes who are like oil and water.
Worst is her new duty: to train with the queen’s deadly, heartless gryphons. The gryphon guard has six weeks to prepare before they are launched onto the streets—putting innocent lives at risk of the gryphons’ ruthlessness. Their potent elemental magic and intricate runebonds do nothing to reassure Farren, but she has no choice in the matter—even when faced with the very beast who attacked her brother.
Of Gryphons and Runes is the first book of a New Adult epic fantasy trilogy filled with suspense, romance, and deep-spun mysteries. Perfect for readers who love animal-human bonds, mythical creatures, elemental and telepathic magic, lovers-to-enemies romance, and a strong female protagonist.

Summary
The Isle of Wings is dying. The storms are gone. The Rain Mage is dead—along with everyone in his family but one.
Roana, his daughter, is blamed for the wreck that took them. Desperate to outrun her grief—and the islanders who won’t let her forget it—she wants nothing more than to leave. But a tyrannical sorceress now controls the harbor—and when Roana uncovers a stolen egg in her lair, escape becomes a rescue mission.
Iniko, a telepathic sailor haunted by fractured memories, is desperate to find a crew brave—or foolish—enough to man his ship. When he becomes entangled in Roana’s trouble—and in caring for the powerful creature that hatches from the egg—he glimpses Roana’s long-repressed magic, a potent force she refuses to accept.
The sorceress is closing in, and she desires far more than the egg.
Iniko’s forgotten past is catching up.
Roana’s buried power is rising. Should she leave the islanders to the sorceress’ mercy, or save them—and be bound to the island forever?

Summary
A perilous secret exposed. Danger pursues her. Can she save her kind without becoming a monster?
Most people believe that Ember is the wizard daughter of Lord Arundel, a half-mad man who is infamous for his slaughter of shapeshifters.
Only those closest to Ember know what she really is—the same kind of shapeshifter that Lord Arundel likes to hunt. She’s been keeping her secret all her life, but somehow Lord Arundel’s assistant, Fletch, suspects what she really is. Ember may be the last of her kind, and Fletch will stop at nothing to capture her—even if she is the daughter of a lord of the Council.
Running is her only option. She has a turn of luck when she discovers others like herself, but danger follows her, and at too high of a price. It is up to her to save the few remaining shapeshifters—but she refuses to use her powers to hurt others. How can she defeat Fletch and Lord Arundel without becoming the same monsters that they are?
A suspenseful young adult epic fantasy adventure, perfect for fans of stories with shapeshifters, enemy-turned-lover romance, and magic!
