Author Bio

Mr. Highben's life as a reporter for The Evening Independent of Massillon, Ohio, began when manual typewriters and hot type still ruled. He left the paper to serve in the United States Marine Corps, and after returning worked his way through college to graduate (cum laude) from Kent State University. In a career that spanned four decades, he worked a variety of beats, wrote a weekly column, and received multiple honors from both the United Press International and the Associated Press. He is proud to have been a member of Local One, The Newspaper Guild, and of Investigative Reporters and Editors.

Summary

This is the true story of a Canton, Ohio, steel mill worker who found himself unwittingly thrust into the role of deep trance sensitive. After a period of tumult and discovery, he dedicated the rest of his life to serving as a conduit for insights from a higher spiritual realm. He did so without material reward. From the 1970s through the birth of the 21st century, LePar submitted himself to more than 200 trance states, which were physically and emotionally exhausting. Thousands of people either attended his trance sessions or heard him lecture about his experiences and about the messages for mankind which flowed through him as he lay unconscious on the floor.
