Alexxa has spent most of her life in Ohio (when she wasn't busy exploring the planet Miaca). When she's not writing, she spends most of her time in the kitchen creating masterpieces of a different type or spending time with her dog. While "From Winter" is her first full-length novel. Its setting, the planet Miaca, has been in her imagination and heart since she was five. There are many more trips to Miaca planned for the future.
She dips her pen in several different genres having published five children's books including the Cobb Bug series, a (grown-up) How-To for setting up your first aquarium, and short stories and poetry all over the map. She also has a cooking YouTube channel and one for her author related work that features her book crafts and author interviews.

Newst part of the Cobb Bug series, Coldylocks tells the story of the Cobb Bug children getting ready for bed with all that includes. And it includes a bedtime story after all that work!
Mom tells them their favorite: "Coldylocks and the Many Blankies"! Not only is this the story of how Coldylocks managed to finally be warm all through winter, but also the story of why Cobb Bugs spend their lives making blankies.
After the story the fun keeps on going. There are several coloring pages and then a craft in which children (with their parents) can make their own small fuzzy blankie. Each step, from the list of what they need to the final result, is described and shown being done by Alexxa. (And there is a YouTube video showing the entire craft from beginning to end.)

10 year old orphan Sa'laliqe wants to leave winter for somewhere warmer but a bizarre encounter on the road leaves his life changed forever. Soon after, arrested for murder, convicted, and sentenced to death, he is offered one way forward.
The Miacon military academy is a different world for him. He excels at most lessons, rising to the top of his class. This is his story, one of succeeding when his society thinks it impossible for his "kind" and of making friends. He becomes a part of his society rather than an outsider, though everything is a new thing. Growing up as an orphan on the streets never prepared him for candy shops, loving families, or friends.
"From Winter" is written for adults but will also be enjoyed by (and suitable for) teenagers 14 and up.

Little Sierra loves her Grandpa's fish tank. One day she gets a big surprise when he takes her to the fish store. She learns about all the fish and comes home with her very first fish.
"My First Fish" is a colorful picture book that introduces children to wonderful fish facts and includes directions and pictures to craft your very own "fish bowl." (There is even a YouTube video for the craft with over 33,000 views.) And for children with crayons, there are several coloring pages as well.
